A friendly squash club with good quality courts, monthly leagues, weekly club night, annual tournaments, other competitions and functions.New members are always welcome. The club house, which is situated Google map just off New Road, SA20 0ED, (to the rear of the North Western Hotel), near the railway station, has two courts, male and female changing rooms with two showers in each, and a viewing balcony. There is ample parking at the front of the building.The club was built around 1990 and has very good quality floors, lighting and high ceilings. Membership costs £40 annually or £80 for a family membership (2 adults and all their children). Junior membership is also available at £10. Discounts are negotiable for people who join significantly after the beginning of the membership year. Tokens for the light meters can be obtained from the machine in the club or from Howell Whitney (01550 720690 w) at The Old Printing Office on Market Square. One token allows play for 40 minutes, and currently costs a mere £3.00 ( as at Feb 2009). There is also a booking system for the courts within the club house. Members can join the leagues, turn up and play during club night (every Monday) and take part in the annual tournaments and occasional other competitions. Non members, or prospective members, can play (when accompanied by a member) up to four times, after which they are requested to join the club.
